I've been using "Ciao" as one of (generously) "pay per survey" sites but it's may be 1% of site functions. Some features are just like LJ - there is "circle of friends", for example, and "community announcements". I didn't have any friends and wanted to earn some "community points" , whatever they are, so I wrote a quick "no spoilers, I love it" "Firefly" review into Ciao review section.

...and next morning discovered 7 negative replies and minus 28 points. I am amazed that somebody actually bothered
reading the review - the site boasts hundreds of thousands of them - and then berating me for not being helpful. they told me to rewrite it. do they think I can be bothered and I'll spend time trying to conform? do they think that I reviwed the product and not the film itself? do they think that a book's value equals to the sum of values of the cover, of paper its printed on and pictures? apparently, yes to all three questions.

I know that I am scatter-brained when I write but in LJ if you don't like it ignore it. the bloody consumers.

Beside I don't think I am ready (or will ever be) to befriend somebody because he bought the same brand of TV and wrote a comprehensive analysis of the model.
