your post's got me thinking... I've read virtually all of Le Guin and think that "The Left Hand" is her best book and in my opinion par with the novels generally considered to be the best of World Literary Fiction (such as Crime and Punishment).
Finnegan's Wake is something I assume is beyond me, I know thare are book clubs out there that spend years trying to decifer... first 20 pages. may be one day I'll be bold enough to attempt reading "Paradise Lost" but not Finnegan's Wake.
