Burrat [ a building company] apologise for the inconvenience due to works


this ad causes some puzzlement. shouldn't it be "apologises"? whan I saw it first time I though somebody wants Burrats to apologise.
due to works?

it's collective plural -- "the Police warn", "the BA regret" etc. standardly used in British English.
