Greg Egan «Permutation city» - v.good sci-fi about artificial intelligence mentioning Babbidge, Minski et al. Would be nice to read his other books.
...unlike "the last novel by Arthur Clark", readable but so sixties and and sentimental.
Herbert (the son). The idea is good but the book is boring, I quit after 20 pages.
